More Nail Art!

Here's a few of my first nail art designs...
Buzzy bees

Peace, Love and Chanel

Posh Penguins

They were really easy and fun to do. I even had the buzzy bees on my nails for a job interview to brighten up my plain outfit and show off my sense of humour :-)

Introducing my Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelet

I totally adore my Thomas Sabo charm bracelet, so i thought i'd share it with you. It was bought for me by my lovely work friends as a leaving gift and included the little silver bow charm. I was really touched as it was so thoughtful and really suited my personality.

It kick started another bug for collection, so at Christmas my hubby bought me the 'J' and my soul sister got me the lipstick (she knows me far too well... It's like a mini Chanel!)
I'm really careful with it as the charms attach with a small hook on clasp which are quite fragile, each charm starts from approx £25 upwards (some in their £100's ) so I'd be gutted if I lost one.
I always wanted one of those Disney charm bracelets as child so this has filled my long lost void, in fact I think a Little Mermaid or Minnie Mouse may be my next addition!
As a last little note... You may think my blog is named after Minnie Mouse, however it's actually my nick name for my gorgeous niece Yasmin! #uselessfactoftheday

Cutesy Bow Reverse French Mani

Ok so here is the first post of many nail art designs...

I have an obsessive nature by admission, which is a very expensive habit! Luckily this latest little craze is not to pricey on the purse, thanks to eBay I've managed to pick up some really cute accessories from a seller in Hong Kong and Its well worth the wait for shipping.

These little plastic bows are sooo cute and they cost less than £1.50 for 20 which included postage!

So, on to the design.... I've called it 'The Cutesy Bow Reverse French Mani'
I think it's cute, summery and really easy to do.. But it's a nuisance to wash your hair!!

Here's what I used, the polishes you can vary but I do find the Seche Vite top coat the best for me to use (see my previous post)

First I applied a base coat, it's really important to protect your nails from staining and glue but it also fills ridges and the polish lasts longer.

Then I applied a few coats of the white by Illamasqua, I don't really rate this polish as it takes lots of product to coat and for the price simply isn't worth it.

Next is the French tip, it's a little more difficult for me to do the right hand so I always do this first. I used 'feelin' hot hot hot' by OPI which is a raspberry pink colour.

A layer of top coat was added and finally a bow was glued to the tip of each ring finger. It would be more ideal to get someone else to add the bows as the glue is super strong and the bows a blooming nightmare to pick up with tweezers...

Oohps almost forgot the glue... Bought from Sally's Beauty Supplies.

Face in a tube: No 7 Beautiful Skin BB Cream

I was given the No 7 Beautiful Skin BB Cream as a birthday gift from my lovely sis-in-law Jen, she told me I'd love it and it's true!

It's a little bit like a tinted moisturiser but with more coverage and staying power... A moisturiser, primer, concealer and coverage rolled into one. I'm such a lazy non-routine make up applier, so this product is fantastic for me... I literally wack a bit on with my finger tips and hey presto I'm looking slightly more human in the morning!

No 7 have done really well with this product which comes in other skin/shade options as its so user friendly at an affordable price too. I'm planning on packing it in my travel bag for Cuba as it contains an SPF 15, it's always handy to have at the start of a holiday before the sun has done wonders for my skin.
My only negative point would be the colouring, whilst the medium matches my skin tone I have noticed that it gives a bit of an ashy appearance to my skin. Not too much of an issue as I am a fan of the old bronzer anyhow, but a warmer tone would be much appreciated.

Hola!

Hi Everyone, I'm back (again)!
I've got so much to share and I've finally managed to sort out the problems with the Ap that I was using... sadly I lost loads of posts I'd saved to upload, so it's all from scratch and new :-)

So what's new and what will be coming up?

Right now I'm obsessed with nail art, I'm enjoying unleashing a bit of creativity without the damage that is caused from artificial nails. Lots of posts to come on designs and tools.

I'm off to Cuba in a couple of weeks with the hubby to celebrate his Birthday, we're really looking forward to the break so I'll have a special travel article with pictures galore!

I've done lots of re-vamping and organising to my home... So it calls for some lady DIY show and tell, I'm constantly re-decorating in fact I think perhaps I may have a deep underlying problem :-)

.... And of course lots of shopping confessions, hauls and outfits!

Thanks for reading.... Jen xoxo
